Modalities of Treatment Provided

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

A comprehensive psychiatric assessment begins at the first visit and continues through future visits as needed. It includes the gathering of a general medical and psychiatric history, along with a mental status examination. The goal is to understand the cause of symptoms.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a form of one-to-one treatment where the therapy is specifically tailored to the patient.

Medication Management

The first step in medication management is assessing the need for medication treatment. If a medication is indicated, then the appropriate dose is started, while monitoring the patient for clinical improvement as well as any potential side effects.

The ultimate goal is to achieve the best clinical outcome with the least number and/or amount of medications.

School Consultation

A school consultation helps identify children early who may benefit from school-based services and/or referral to appropriate clinics for mental health services.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a form of therapy involving parents, children, and other family members, to help resolve conflicts in the family.
